Don’t miss an amazing summer in Alaska…

We’ve already had incredible encounters with breaching whales, curious orcas, wandering bears, and wayward shorebirds. This summer is shaping up to be one for the books. If you haven’t already, there is still time to book your expedition aboard Sailboat BOB,

We had a great time with our youngest sailors to date. Wee Augie and Clancy were a lot of fun and ready for adventures of every kind – including banana slugs, sailing with the captain, peering in the hatches, and enjoying the spacious berths aboard the BOB.

We have been trying to get a good photo of the 9078 foot tall Devil’s Thumb near Petersburg for years. Finally, we had a spectacular day and view as we sailed down Frederick Sound. If we were shameless, we’d photo-shop in a breaching whale. Maybe next month…

We were incredibly lucky to be invited ashore to tour the historic 1902-built Five-Finger Lighthouse (the first one built in Alaska). Thank you to the lighthouse keepers for the radio call. We loved it and hope to make it a regular feature on our Petersburg and “Round Admiralty Island” trips in the future.
